Ava Douglass

There’s no one that can exemplify the Scout’s work ethic quite like senior Ava Douglass. No matter the situation, Ava is known to go above and beyond to lead her team, spread positivity, and achieve academic excellence.

As captain of the Lake Forest Varsity Dance Team, Ava is always prepared to give 100% and lead by example. She is known as a grounding force amongst her teammates and a constant source of reassurance and spirit.

“When things get stressful in the studio, we can all look to Ava to brighten the mood and keep everyone motivated and positive,” junior Bentley Frost said.

In addition to all the other traits of a leader that she embodies, she is known for her unwavering dependability amongst her peers.

“She is always such a hard worker, and a great leader,” junior Lily Pedian said. “I can always count on her to be prepared for anything, and handle every situation with grace.”

Another aspect in particular, that has not gone unnoticed, is her keen eye for fashion. Ava has the innate ability to pull off any look.

“She excels in every aspect, including her fashion sense. She’s the only person I know that can rock basketball shorts,” junior Elsa Dahlgren said.

Those who are lucky enough to know Ava can agree and appreciate the fact that she provides an atmosphere of kindness and compassion in every circumstance.

“Ava does not have an ounce of bad in her body. She is hands down the sweetest person I know,” said senior Lauren Milanak.
