Jahari Scott

Senior Jahari Scott entered high school as a track star from Lake Bluff Middle School. For fun, he decided to join the freshman football team, thinking maybe he could be pretty good at it. After a promotion to the sophomore team, Jahari started taking football more seriously, and now he’s one of team captains and a three-year starter on the Varsity football team.

Accumulating over 1,300 yards this season, running back Jahari has been the heart and soul of Lake Forest’s offense. This should be no surprise to anyone who knows him, because Jahari is an extremely gritty and committed person.

“He’s one of the hardest working and most dedicated people I know and gives everything he has to the team and players,” senior Jake Milliman said.

His dedication is shown on and off the field, as he is an extremely focused student and a great friend. Whether you’re a teacher or a student, a class with him instantly becomes a favorite.

“He is a good friend. You can really count on him and he is also really funny,” senior Max Terlap said.

The star player will be inactive for Saturday’s semi-final playoff game due to a knee injury, but will be supporting the Scouts from the sideline. Even when he’s not racking up yards and touchdowns, his presence will be felt by coaching up players and cheering on the team. Jahari’s a guy you’re always glad to have on your side, whether it be on or off the field.
