Colin Brandlein

Senior Colin Brandlein, affectionately known as Looner, keeps the halls of LFHS interesting. Although you might not expect such an intimidating person to be friendly, Colin breaks the stereotype. He is widely regarded as a cheerful, loyal friend and member of the school’s community. Whether it’s reaching out to someone lonely or making everyone laugh, Colin is just the person the school needed when everyone felt so alone through the COVID infested school year.

Colin consistently makes an effort to make everyone feel welcome in the school by going out of his way to get to know everyone. His friends know him for being sympathetic through all of high school’s ups and downs.

“Colin is always around to help literally anyone who needs it. He is such a ray of sunshine,” senior Dani Verlen said.

Colin also manages to make his presence known, despite being a remote learner this year, through a big personality. He is a prominent member of the senior class who makes everyone around him feel at home.

“Colin is an icon at the high school and a great friend. He is probably the funniest person I’ve met,” senior Claudia Delhey said.

His good vibes and optimistic spirit are contagious among the seniors, who have felt robbed of the traditional year they had hoped for.

“Looner lights up any room he walks into! I’m happy to call him a friend,” senior Heidi Schoeller said.
