Lauren Milanak

Junior Lauren Milanak  is involved in many activities at school, but the dance team is likely her biggest commitment. She has been a vital part of the team for the past three years. Milanak, or as her team calls her ¨Mal,¨ is consistently going above and beyond, which her teammates admire. 

¨Mal is probably one the hardest workers I know. She comes to practice everyday ready to work with a smile no matter what we are doing. She’s an amazing leader, and I look up to her in every aspect of life,¨ said senior Mary Considine. ¨She is so encouraging and always there on a bad day.¨

Her teammates and friends compliment her ability to make them laugh.

¨Lauren is one of the sweetest and funniest people I know, no matter she says it can always make me laugh,¨ said junior Ava Douglass. 

Milanak also brings her warm personality to peer tutoring and her position as a TA.

¨Lauren and I first became friends in second grade when I moved to Lake Forest.  She was incredibly welcoming and kind, which immediately commenced our friendship,” said junior Sophia Van Der Woert. ¨Throughout the years of knowing her, she has always been encouraging, supportive, and like a sister to me.  No matter what we’re doing, we’re practically always laughing and having a good time.¨ 

Always up for a good time, Milanak is always trying to make her friends laugh. 

¨She never fails to lift someone’s mood or make them laugh. She’s one of the hardest workers I know and the first person to practice at home or push herself even farther during practice,¨ said freshman Elsa Dahlgren. ¨She’s the best I’m so lucky to have her in my life.¨
