Callie+Birtman

Callie Birtman

Senior Callie Birtman may have started at LFHS a year later than her classmates, but she has more than made up for lost time.

During the fall, Birtman is swimming in the LFHS pool. Come springtime, you can catch her at West Campus playing on the varsity soccer team.

“She brings so much positive energy to the group at every practice and game,” said senior soccer teammate Hayden Keller. “She works hard for her teammates on the field, and she has great competitive spirit.”

That competitive spirit carries over into the fall when she swims. Last year was Birtman’s first year swimming for the high school.

“She is super committed to our team and brings such a fun and optimistic attitude to every practice,” sophomore teammate Luca Ferraioli said.

Birtman also is a part of Debate Club, Spanish Club and Women’s Club. Just recently, Birtman was voted Vice President of the Spanish Club.

“Callie always comes to Spanish Club ready to have fun. She radiates kindness and never fails to make anyone laugh. She is very passionate about Spanish Club, and we are very happy to call her our Vice President!” senior Grace Blendonohy said.

However, Birdman’s resume extends even further, as she is a part of National Honors Society, Student Council, Link Crew, an academic TA and a peer tutor. Is there anything that she can’t do?

“She seems to be involved with everything,” said teacher Mr. Hain. “It always seems like she is friends with everyone and that nothing in the world can bring her down.”
