Gia+Gantos

Gia Gantos

During these crazy, uncertain times, it can be hard to remain positive in everyday life. But a quick visit with junior Gia Gantos will have you smiling in no time.

“I am so lucky to have become so close with Gia. She is one of my best friends, and so hardworking and kind. I know I can always count on her!” says junior Madeleine Kapsalis.

Gia is a determined individual enrolled in multiple AP classes. She balances all of her school work on top of her crazy busy schedule, which includes many different activities, including Varsity Cheer.

“I have had the pleasure of coaching Gia for the past six years,” says Varsity Coach Debbie Vargas. “Gia is an awesome athlete who is dedicated to both her sport and her team. She is a hard worker, a reliable teammate, and consistently leads by example.”

Gantos has been cheering for many years, and has mastered what it means to be a great teammate.

“Gia is one of the most dedicated people I know. She always gives 100% effort to everything she does. She is not only an amazing cheerleader, but she is always an incredible teammate and is willing to help anyone who might be struggling,”  junior Madison Miks said.

But regardless of her packed schedule, Gantos makes time for her friends.

“We have been close friends since 7th grade, and I couldn’t ask for a better friend. She has an enormous heart, and is always radiating positivity. She is always a fun person to have around,” says junior Margherita Zaramella.
