Gary, The Courteous Ghost with Mr. Gigiano

Gary, The Courteous Ghost with Mr. Gigiano

Mr. Gigiano says a ghost once held the door for him.

“My cousin Frankie works at a surgical center at Edwards Hospital, and he’s one of the leading accountants there, and he talks about this certain ghost named Gary that people hear at night. He’ll be moving around, or pacing the halls. I was like ‘this is ridiculous. This guy’s crazy.’ I mean my cousin is crazy, a big Italian guy, you know. So, about five years ago, he got a bus together on Halloween.

His daughter was around 11 or 12 years old at the time, and her junior high friends, and family all came. So basically, it was a huge bus- one of those party buses. So he rented a party bus, and tells us he’s going to take us to all these different places where people have died, where there’s supposed to be ghosts.

Some of the nurses claim that when they put out the scalpels, instruments and stuff like that, they’ll turn around and it’ll be gone. Strange things occur.

So we went around to all these different places, and didn’t see anything, and whatever. So the last stop was this surgical center, and I’m like here we go. So he brings us to the front entrance, and tells us that people will see this guy sitting in a car, and then they’ll come back out, and no one’s there. And this guy Gary is supposedly around. And so we went into the surgical center, he brought us into the operating room, and he said, ‘This is where Gary died’.

Some of the nurses claim that when they put out the scalpels, instruments and stuff like that, they’ll turn around and it’ll be gone. Strange things occur.

Then he brings us downstairs where he works as an accountant – and the basement is almost labrinth-like. There’s all these different doorways, and stuff like that. And then he says, ‘In this particular room, you’ll hear banging on the wall’. So he brought us in there, and everyone’s being quiet, and we didn’t hear anything, so we go to another room. He tells us a different story when he was sitting there late at night one time, and the custodian ran in, freaking out that there was something chasing him in the halls, and they went out to look for something and couldn’t find anything. So there’s all these doors, and so we’re going in and out of rooms, everyone’s holding the door for each other to walk through, and so we go through the whole thing, didn’t see anything, and go back to the bus

When we get on the bus, Frankie asks us how we liked the tour. I mean, it was fine, we didn’t see anything. And he goes, “Did you like the guy who was holding the door open for you guys? This gray haired guy? That was Gary.’

And we were all looking around like wait, where’s the gray haired guy, and there was no one in the surgical center besides us.”
