Friday Five
Each week The Forest Scout highlights five Scouts who are doing their part to make LFHS a better place. Each story is written by a TFS staff writer.

Elsa Goldsberry
With her infectious laugh, incredible personality, and outstanding athletic ability, it's no wonder so many people in the Lake Forest community have a soft spot for senior Elsa Goldsberry. “Elsa and I have been inseparable ever since we were little,” said close friend and cousin, senior Gretta Goldsberry. “I’ve seen her grow over the years, and I’m proud to call her family. She’s bee...

Gianna Pasquesi
Athletic, diligent, good-natured, and motivated: senior Gianna Pasquesi is an ideal example of what it means to be a Scout. Pasquesi juggles all of her many extracurricular activities exceptionally well. She’s a triple varsity sport athlete, including Field Hockey in the fall, Gymnastics in the winter, and Track & Field in the spring, as well as captain of the Varsity Gymnastics team. Bes...

Caroline Graham
You may not see eye-to-eye with senior Caroline Graham. Standing at just under 6'0", Graham’s height is extreme advantage to her in the game of volleyball. But her skills as a leader and teammate are equally impressive. “Caroline is a great motivator and I always play better with her,” senior teammate Abby Wise said. “Even though she is already so successful, she still comes to pract...

Clayton Trevino
Freshman Clayton Trevino made it clear very early that he will not be intimidated by all the new faces and competition of high school. Posting some of the lowest scores at tryouts, he made an immediate impact on the Boys JV Golf team. Clayton led the JV team to a Conference win, scoring the best of the team and receiving medalist honors at the tournament. “[He] has a super hard work ethic. He ...

Mr. Lester Long
It's easy to see why Coach Lester Long is a legendary character in the LFHS community. “He has such a vibrant personality,” said senior Zach Porter. “He has a great influence on everyone who has the privilege of knowing him.” Long was a stand out basketball player at North Chicago High School in the early 1960's. He's now a member of the Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame. He...
