Megan Parsons

With everyone stuck at home, it can be hard to feel motivated. But junior Megan Parsons isn’t letting these uncertain times keep her from being the extraordinary athlete, student, and friend she is. 

“Megan is easily the smartest person I have ever met,” said junior Madison Miks. “She works extremely hard in all of her classes.” This is no easy feat, considering Megan is balancing multiple AP classes, as well as two sports. 

Megan is a double sport athlete, playing both soccer and tennis for the high school. Her teammate, junior Madeleine Kapsalis, says about Megan “She is such a hardworking teammate. She was someone you could always count on, both on and off the field. She has amazing soccer skills, and our team wouldn’t have been the same without her.” 

Besides being an excellent student and athlete, Megan is also a great friend to many. 

Even though she moved to Lake Forest in sixth grade, she has had no problem making friends. 

“Megan is definitely the smartest and funniest person I know,” says her long time friend Ella Vander Velde. “She is always so much fun to be around, and is constantly making me laugh!” 

Megan is a great example of a valued LFHS community member. She keeps busy by being involved, and is said by friends to always be ready to lend a helping hand. We all miss our friends during eschool, but Megan doesn’t let that stop her from reaching her full potential.
