Sam Mosbarger

Few students are lucky enough to be gifted in athletics, academics, and socializing like senior Sam Mosbarger.

Whether it comes to relationships with family and friends, school work, college prep, volleyball, soccer, or extracurricular activities, Sam values excellence.

Senior Charlie Weisberg alluded to Sam’s charisma when he said, “Sam is always a pleasure to be around; he constantly emits positive energy among his peers and puts forth his best effort into whatever he sets his mind to.”

But his colorful personality not only shines through in his social interactions.

Much loved by his Environmental Geoscience teacher Mrs. Nawor, Sam is widely appreciated for not only his academic success, but his all-around friendliness in the classroom as well. Nawor described Sam as “the kid that everyone wants to be partners with in class.”

However, these character traits don’t just stay within the walls of the classroom.

“Sam is friends with his classmates in and outside of class,” said Nawor. “He is funny, fun and an all-around good guy.”

Despite his extroverted demeanor, Sam doesn’t let his social life get in the way of his academics and athletics.“Sam’s got that determined mindset. When he puts his mind to something, he doesn’t stop working ‘till he gets there,”  senior Chase Bridenbach said.

With work, comes some well-deserved play. Bridenbach describes Sam as, “a great guy to hang around, who can always cheer up the mood.”

Soccer and volleyball teammate senior Thomas Tustison describes Sam as someone who’s “always been a reliable part of the team.”

“He never gets frustrated and always pushes people to get better,” Tustison added. “He’s the type of guy to always be cracking jokes on the court and field.”

Whether it be on the court, field, in the classroom, hanging out or just passing by, keep an eye out for Sam – maybe you’ll be lucky enough to hear a joke!
