Congratulations to two of the staff writers for The Forest Scout, Patrick Philpott and Spencer Oakley, who were awarded 1st and 2nd place respectively in the 2016 Veterans Day Essay Contest held by the American Legion.
Both Patrick and Spencer received cash prizes, as well as a monetary donation to distribute to a school club of the their choice. What a great way to celebrate the holiday, by honoring our veterans through our writing. Congratulations and job well done!
