Friday Five
Each week The Forest Scout highlights five Scouts who are doing their part to make LFHS a better place.

Luca Ferraioli
Having just moved from Boston a little less than a year ago, freshman Luca Ferraioli has already made a positive impact on the people around her, while also making a name for herself in LFHS. Luca treats anyone and everyone with kindness and is bound to put a smile on your face within minutes of talking to her. One of her close friends, Chloe Robb doesn’t disagree, saying “Luca is the sweetest ...

Emily Robinson
Affectionately called Em or Emrob, senior Emily Robinson loves the outdoors. She spends her summers at a camp called Ogichi Daa Kwe in Northern Minnesota. This past summer she had the opportunity to paddle through Mountain River in Canada for three weeks. After that she went on another canoeing trip on Pigeon River, also in Canada, for two weeks. Later, she returned to her camp for two more weeks...

Mr. Adam Mocogni
A math teacher, a badminton coach, a basketball coach, a flag football coach, and an all time jokester, Mr. Mocogni has got it all. "He was a fantastic teacher, holy buckets!” senior Charlie Wales said. M...

Joshua B. Lane
You may see a flash zoom around the streets of town this year, but, no, it is not a superhero. It is senior Joshua B. Lane, one of the most dedicated student-athletes that LFHS has to offer. Joshua has been a member of the Varsity Track and Cross Country teams for several years. He contributed to the XC team’s 2018 season, which saw the team compete at the State cross country meet in Peoria, the fir...

Max Edison
If you’ve ever been to a Lake Forest basketball game, you’ve probably seen junior Max Edison handing out water bottles and cheering on the sidelines. Max is one of the student managers for the Varsity Basketball Team, and he epitomizes what it means to be a hard working Scout. This hard work, as well as his enthusiasm hasn’t gone unnoticed. Fellow manager Sammy Long highlights the hard work Ed...
