Mostly known by his nickname, “Martin,” it’s almost impossible to find a student who doesn’t love study hall teacher Martin Pacheco.

Martin, who works in the dean’s department, stands out for the way he treats others with such kindness.

“Martin is the absolute best,” said senior Marrisa Giangorigi. “He always says hi to everyone in the halls and can brighten anyone’s day.”

Not only are students drawn to his kindness, but many of them are surprised with his abilities to remember everyone’s name. With so many students at LFHS, this is a trait hard to come by.

“He is the sweetest. He is one of my favorite people to see around school, and he never fails to remember anyone’s name that I’m with,” said senior Lilly Neil.

He also is a huge supporter of all school sports. At events such as football games, baseball games, and dance competitions, you can catch Martin in the crowd cheering on his students.

“It’s just so nice to see a teacher like Martin cheering you on and supporting your team,” said junior Erin Earls.

Across the student body, Martin is known for his funny remarks that can make an entire study hall laugh.

Martin is also very well respected by his fellow staff members.

“Martin is one of the nicest people I know. He is capable, kind, and caring,” said Mrs. Eikenberry, who supervises the Humanities Center.

It’s not everyday you can find a genuinely kind and supporting person like Martin. He clearly loves being around students, and our school is so lucky to have him.
