Henry Pickus

Whether it’s on the lacrosse field or in the classroom, Henry Pickus is sure to impress anyone who meets him.

Pickus is most well known for his work on the lacrosse field. He played JV his freshman year and decided that it wasn’t what he had in mind for what he wanted to achieve. In between seasons, Pickus worked every day, improving his stick skills and speed, in order to make sure that he would make varsity lacrosse his sophomore year.

When tryouts came around, Pickus impressed the coaches with his remarkable ability to do seemingly anything with the ball in his stick. Pickus, now on varsity, is working to improve further in the sport and is quickly becoming a crucial part of the lacrosse team.

“He is willing to take on whatever comes at him and is committed to the pushing through the grind in any challenge that faces him,” sophomore Gavin Hone said.

Off the lacrosse field, Pickus is best known for his infectious energy in the classroom and excitement to tackle tasks or problems given to him. Pickus is also involved in LFHS’s environmental club, something that he really enjoys and takes very seriously.

“Henry is a great guy and he not only works hard in school, but he also makes it a fun and enjoyable environment to learn and thrive in,” sophomore Charlie Silver said.
