Addie Sidles

On the field or in the classroom, it’s hard to find Addie Sidles without a smile on her face. The senior has made her mark at Lake Forest High School, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Her quiet demeanor may make her seem shy at first, but her bright personality shines once you get to know her. Sidles has had the privilege to play both Field Hockey and Lacrosse at LFHS under Coach Cat, and her work ethic on the field coincides with that in the classroom. Her course load is compiled with AP Psychology, AP BC Calculus, and Spanish 5, an impressive feat for a two-sport varsity athlete.

In addition, Sidles has decided to continue to further her academics and athletic careers playing field hockey and lacrosse at Williams College in Massachusetts. She says it’s the perfect fit with its small size and the fact that it’s on the East coast. Plus, Williams has a unique mascot being the purple cows, something you don’t hear very often.

Sidles has also formed many lasting relationships with fellow future collegiate athletes.

“Addie is one of my favorite people. We have played lacrosse and field hockey together for as long as I can remember, and are in the same church youth group. Her kind spirit and loyal nature is unique, and she is truly one of the greatest people that I know. Her work ethic is admirable, and she is truly a wonderful person,” said Sarah Considine, a friend, teammate, and fellow classmate.

Additionally, Sidles is involved in the community in a variety of different ways. She has gone on volunteer work trips with her church youth group, and just recently returned from the Kairos retreat. Addie is always looking out for others before herself and her contribution to the community shows it. At home, you can find her playing with her wonderful dog Beau, or talking with her brother Charlie, a student at Northwestern and former TFS writer.

Her positivity shines on the field and her teammate appreciate it.

“Every time I see Addie at practice it makes my day because we have so much fun together. She’s a great person off the field and is someone who I like to surround myself with. Her positivity is contagious and I’m happy to call her my friend,” said Kirsten Larson, a friend and lacrosse teammate.
