Hollywood actress and acting coach Rusty Schwimmer will host a master class here Saturday  from 9-11 a.m .in the DMT.

Schwimmer is known for her roles in A Little Princess, Twister, The Perfect Storm, and The Belko Experiment.

She grew up in Chicago, attended New Trier High School, and now returns to the North Shore for this master class.

The two hour master class will teach students about monologue work and will include a Q&A about her life as an actress. Students will have the opportunity to bring in their own monologue and workshop it.

Alec Boyd, a junior officer of International Thespian Society, will moderate the Q&A.

“I hope students will gain further insight into the process of developing monologues, as well as the realities of life as a working actor,” Sara Dreiling, the school organizer of the event, said.
