Name: Ella White
College: Southern Methodist University
Location: Dallas, Texas
Mascot: Mustangs
Why SMU?
“I chose SMU because when I visited I really liked the campus and I wanted to major in public relations and SMU has a great major in that.”
What are you most excited for?
“I am most excited to have more freedom and be on my own for the first time. I will be able to gain more responsibility and I am excited to gain real world experiences.”
Name: Tommy Glyman
College: University of Miami
Location: Coral Gables, Florida
Mascot: Hurricanes
Why Miami?
“I chose Miami because the school has a cognates program so I will be able to study multiple different topics within multiple different schools there. I will be able to see all my interests instead of focusing on one major. I also really loved the great weather and great sports.”
What are you most excited for?
“I am definitely most excited for the football games. Miami is really into their sports and football games will be very fun to attend.”
Name: Dante Mancini
College: Carnegie Mellon University
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Mascot: Tartans
Why Carnegie Mellon?
“Carnegie Mellon has always been a school I’ve been interested since it has a fantastic engineering program. When I got the opportunity to play soccer there, I couldn’t turn it down.”
What are you most excited for?
“I’m definitely most excited to play for the team. Also, I can’t wait for my studies to be concentrated heavily on math and sciences.”
Name: Colin Thergart
College: Elon University
Location: Elon, North Carolina
Mascot: Phoenix
Why Elon? “I chose Elon because when I stepped onto campus it felt like home. Everyone I met was really nice and encouraged me to spend the next four years at Elon.”
What are you most excited for?
“I am most excited to be more independent, meet new people, and have a fresh start in a new place.”
Name: Leland Keller
College: Denison University
Location: Granville, Ohio
Mascot: Big Red
Why Denison?
“I knew I wanted to play soccer at a school that would also allow me to have a social life outside of sports. I think Denison does a good job of letting athletes balance school, sports, and social life which was a big thing for me in the college process. I also think Denison is a good fit for me personally because I didn’t want to go to a giant school.”
What are you most excited for?
“I’m definitely excited for the soccer season next fall, but I’m super excited to meet new people and be independent.”
