GRAYSLAKE, Ill.– Heading into its third game of the season, the Lake Forest boys lacrosse team traveled to Grayslake North High School to take on the Knights of the Northern Lake County Conference. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, April 9, but was postponed a day due to inclement weather.
The Knights got off to a hot start and took a 7-3 lead into the half. The Scouts struggled on the defensive side of the field, and failed to take advantage of the limited possessions they had. Jack Walsh came in at goalie for starter Alex Thoms and played well in the second half, allowing just four goals. Meanwhile, on the offensive side, the Scouts were led by their talented senior class. While the seniors managed seven goals among them, it was not enough for victory as the Scouts lost 11-7.
The Scouts are set to square off with the Stevenson Patriots today, who come into the game with a losing record of (2-3). This will be the first home game of the season, taking place at 6:30 p.m. at West Campus.
