LAKE FOREST, Ill.– The Lake Forest Scouts girls lacrosse team, one of the most heralded teams of the spring season, got off to the start they desired Thursday night at West Campus, earning an 8-4 win over visiting Mother McAuley in their opening game of the season.
McAuley, an all-girls school located in the south side of Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood, are known for their prowess in girls sports, but the Macs were no match for the talented Scouts roster on Thursday night.
Olivia Douglass, Audrey Kaus, Addie Sidles and Sarah Considine all had strong games for the Scouts, and freshman Blythe Karras and sophomore goalie Grace Kellie were able to get acclimated to their first taste of varsity action for the Scouts. The Scouts continue their season on Saturday with a trip to Fenwick High School in Oak Park and look to continue their winning streak of success to start the season.
