Who is in your act?

Sophie Loiacano.

What is something unique about your act?

Even though I will compete this solo all season, Talent Show is my first performance.

How did you decide what to perform?

Every year the company I dance with assigns me a solo, and I love being able to bring it to the talent show community.

What led you to be a part of Talent Show?

My freshman year was in the thick of COVID so I decided to just jump in and get involved without knowing much about it. But I quickly discovered that it was one of the best decisions I made all year because I met some of my closest friends.

What’s the best thing about the process?

Everyone says this, but it’s true: I love the community and the atmosphere around it. We’re all in the RMA every night working together and sharing all the triumphs and challenges, and it’s a really cool experience to be able to put on a show with my friends.

What makes this year different?

This is the first year that I’ve been a part of a completely normal in-person talent show which is probably the biggest difference. We have much more freedom to be creative than we have in past years and it’s made the process super fun.
