Eric Duan

Senior Eric Duan is likely the only person you will ever meet who can recite a near perfect scene-by-scene description of every Marvel movie from memory.

This attention to detail carries over to one of his other great passions: robotics.

“Eric is amazing at robotics; when you need something done he gets it done,” senior Ben Graves said. “He spends 25-plus hours a week designing the robot and thinking of new ways to make the robot better.”

Robotics teacher Mr. Wilen said Eric is “bursting at the seams with knowledge.”

“He is incredibly helpful to other students regardless of what he is currently doing for himself,” Mr. Wilen said.

Eric’s friends say he is often is more concerned with resolving other people’s problems than his own.

Senior Rebecca Gillette said Eric is “one of the kindest and most compassionate people I know. He’s always been super supportive of me.”

“Eric goes out of his way to help anyone with the smallest problem, in the biggest way possible,” senior Mateo Garcia said. “You’ll always be able to rely on him for help with anything.”

Eric is extremely upbeat and his optimistic outlook is contagious.

“I don’t think I have ever seen Eric Duan frown,” senior Jack Doheny said. “He is one of the most positive people I know, and you’d be hard pressed to find a single class he doesn’t make more fun.”
