As starting quarterback, a former two-year starter at cornerback, a two-year member of the Varsity Basketball team, and an avid Oberweis milk drinker, senior Leo Scheidler is primed for a big Homecoming weekend.

Leo is synonymous with Scouts football and recently was named a captain, along with running back Jahari Scott.

In week one, Leo had multiple long runs, including two rushing touchdowns. He also had 150 passing yards, a blocked punt turned into a touchdown, and, if that wasn’t enough, a clutch punt, pinning the Spartans down at the one yard line late in the first half. And yes, that was a lot, but to his teammates, he’s just getting started.

“Leo watches his diet carefully all year, and during the offseason, I’m pretty sure he lifts twice a day. He definitely works the hardest on the team,” senior Jade Khater said.

He also believes the mantra that milk “does a body good.”

“Leo specifically orders seven gallons of Oberweis milk to his doorstep every Sunday, and drinks one gallon each day. He’s a psycho,” said senior Sam Gardner.

Receiving his first D1 offer from Dayton University just a few weeks ago, Leo plans to continue his hard work (and hopefully milk drinking) in college.

“It’s been a dream of Leo’s to play football in college for as long as I can remember. Now that his dream is in reach, I couldn’t be more proud of him,” said senior Graham Conley.
