Lucy Rubinstein
Artistic, kind, unique, talented: all adjectives for senior Lucy Rubinstein.
She has the goal to spread positivity and optimism, especially when it comes to her friends and peers.
“Lucy is a really genuine person and such a hard worker. She is going to do amazing things in the future,” said friend Jimmy Kuehnle.
She is a hard worker indeed. Lucy started an instagram account, @shopbrokenpearl, where she sells handmade pearl accessories, as well as tote bags and knitted arm warmers. Rubinstein is able to make any necklace to fit the aesthetic of which you like.
That isn’t the only talent of which Rubinstein possesses, she also has a beautiful voice. She has been involved in the talent show for the last three years, this year as director, producer, and member of three acts.
She did four years of the choir as well as four years of Madrigals and Bel Cantos. Her voice is just as beautiful as she is.
Outside of school, Rubinstein remains adventurous.. She loves to spend her time in Evanston and Chicago and venture out into new places even if it can be scary. “She is so fun to be around, I’m never bored when I am with her and there is also a new and exciting plan she comes up with when we’re going out,” said Jack Fitzgerald.
Her future is bright, as she plans to attend Northwestern University. She will pursue a dual degree in classical voice and opera, as well as computer science. Both of which she already has shown much interest during her time at LFHS.
