Sofia Falls

Sofia Falls, or “Fifi” as friends call her, is the person that everyone needs in their life right now.

Sofia will return for her third year on Varsity Tennis next year as co-captain. Last year she helped the team win the State Championship and this season helped lead the team to win Sections (State was cancelled due to Covid). Since she was added to the team, she has helped bring the energy and support, and made the team feel like a family.

Sofia is one of the most down to earth and caring people I know. She’s always looking out for me and others and I really admire the way she genuinely reaches out to people and is always there no matter what,” said junior Abby Hanlon.

Sofia has taken on a leadership role in the We Act Now nonprofit environmental club this year. She volunteers her time to the dedicated meetings and tries to make the environment a cleaner and better place.

She also is an amazing coach to younger kids, teaching them paddle and tennis at Indian Hill Club. This allows her to show off her insane tennis skills and work doing something she loves.

Junior Sophie Doucette said, “Sofia has such a fun and easygoing personality that will make anyone feel welcomed. She is so hardworking and deserves everything she works for in life.”

Falls can also flex that she has gone to Fiji and had the amazing opportunity to volunteer her service to people less fortunate. She is clearly not afraid to step outside of her comfort zone and try new things; it’s her caring heart that shines through to the world.

“Sofia is the most fun loving and loyal person I know,” said junior Claire Yehle, a longtime camp friend. “She is always looking out for people and encouraging them to be their best selves. Whether she is portaging a canoe in Canada or hanging out with her friends she is always lifting people up. ”

If you ever need a pick me up, or just a genuine hug seek out Sofia. You will often find her a CROYA where she attends the weekly meetings to catch up and socialize with friends.

“Sofia is one of the most generous and caring people I’ve ever met. She regularly goes out of her way to make anybody’s day better or easier,” said Junior Harry Proeh.
