Charlie Haggerty
Next year, senior Charlie Haggerty will attend Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. His hard work and genuine personality have more than earned him a spot on the men’s golf team.
Haggerty is a three-year veteran member of the Varsity golf team here. He was a key piece on the second day of the State tournament in 2019, as he paced the Scouts with an incredible one-over-par 73.
“Haggs is always the guy bringing everyone together and firing us up,” said senior Pierce Grieve. “Whenever someone has a bad round, he is always the one who lifts him up and pushes him to get better.”
Besides golf, he is a member of the hockey team and the Intramural Basketball program.
“He is one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met,” said senior goalie and teammate Grant Salanty. “He’s always the first one in and the last one out and he is always trying to get better.”
Haggerty is also one of the most genuine people to be around.
“Haggs is just a super nice guy,” said senior Will Webb. “Whenever he thinks somebody is being picked on a little too much, he is always the guy to make sure it stops,” said Webb.
