Michelyn Ward

Compassionate, sociable, kind, and caring likely best describe junior Michelyn Ward.

“She has the biggest heart. We have been friends for almost over seven years, and she will stop whatever she is doing if a friend is in need,” junior Audra Flynn said. “Whether it is driving someone home or helping with homework, Michelyn is so caring to the people around her and even those who don’t know her that well. I am so lucky to have her in my life.”

In her free time Ward participates in Women’s Golf and Lacrosse. She has been playing golf since she was 12 years old and Lacrosse since she was 10. 

“Freshman year I came from St. Mary’s, so I didn’t have many friends. I started doing golf, and she sort of, in a way, took me in and introduced me to the other girls and really made me feel at home in a place that felt so foreign to me. If she hadn’t done that for me I don’t know where I’d be today,” said Ava Landis.

Whether it’s outside of school, on the field, on the course, or just hanging out- Ward will always be the kind soul that she is. Constantly being there for others, making people smile, helping others feel confident, and having a good laugh. That’s what Michelyn Ward is all about.

“I remember when I first met Michelyn, she was so open and friendly. She’s so outgoing and literally has friends from every kind of group,” junior Bridget Snellback said. “She’s such a fun person to be around because she’s always coming up with fun ideas and stuff to do.”
