Richie Hoskins

Senior Richie Hoskins means business.

Hoskins is an involved student and a three- year varsity athlete on the football and lacrosse teams.  His athletic ability has been a crucial part of the Scouts, especially in the clutch moments.

A highlight of Hoskins’ career at quarterback is when he brought the Scouts back 21 points against Stevenson to grant them a spot in the single elimination playoffs of 2019.  It is evident that the Scouts are thankful for this freak athlete.

For the entirety of his life, Hoskins has been motivated to be the best he can possibly be. His persistent personality has never let any outside distractions limit him from his ultimate goals.

“Rich is a great teammate; he is always working his butt off whether it’s in the weight room, classroom, or on the field. He loves to compete and always puts the team before himself,” said senior Connor Armstrong. “He is a great leader and an integral part of the lacrosse program, and I am excited to get the opportunity to share the field with him once again this spring.”

Hoskins verbally committed to Middlebury college where he will be continuing his career in not one, but two sports. He achieved his ultimate goal of being given the opportunity to play football and lacrosse at the collegiate level with the added benefit of receiving an exceptional education.

Not only does he strive on the field and in the classroom, he also is a great friend to everybody he encounters.  Known as one of the nicest kids in the class of 2021, everybody feels welcomed by Hoskins.  He will never let you down.

“This kid truly puts his heart and soul into any challenge he faces. He is extremely committed to his sports, family, and also friends,” said senior Asher Sklarov.  “I know that I can always count on him at any given time.”
