Mr. Thomas Galla
Whether you’re walking in the first day of Chemistry or you’re making a visit years later to say hello, science teacher Mr. Thomas Galla will always greet you with a smile. Mr. Galla is currently finishing up his third year at LFHS, and students who were lucky enough to have him know all about his passion for science and helping his students.
For some, chemistry can be a difficult, even dry, class. But Mr. Galla is a “funny teacher that makes learning fun,” said senior Charlie Marks.
Learning with Mr. Galla is truly an experience unlike any other. Whether you hear one of his classic stories about playing video games in his free time or a classic catch phrase, you always walk out of Mr. Galla’s room laughing.
Whether it’s a simple catch phrase about mols or a long acronym about a king that drinks chocolate milk, learning seems to come easier in Mr. Galla’s room, too.
“He’s a great teacher that puts his students’ learning before anything else,” said sophomore Edward Torosian.
When asked about his favorite memory from Mr. Galla’s class, junior Mac Uihlein only said, “It’s about that time,” echoing Mr. Galla’s standard call to let everyone know to start wrapping things up.
One of the best parts about Mr. Galla is his dedication to making sure his students are enjoying their time in his class. Oftentimes, you will hear Mr. Galla give his famous story about his first ever win in Fortnite or give his typical “Does that kinda make sense?” question after explaining a complex topic.
And after getting ready to go on Friday, Mr. Galla will never let you leave class without getting a Friday high-five, one of the best traditions in the school.
