Sky Ladurini
As an accomplished makeup artist, freshman Sky Ladurini stands out in the fairly homogeneous halls of LFHS with vibrant hair and picture-perfectly accentuated features. Her everyday artistry is exceptional, but those who are lucky enough to know Sky unanimously affirm that her beauty shines from the inside out.
“Sky has only been at LFHS for a little over a semester, and she has already made a huge impact. It’s hard for me to imagine school without her,” says social worker Mr. Dan Maigler. “While I am always impressed by her creativity and artistic talent, what is really amazing about Sky is her resilience and compassion.”
“Sky is talented, beautiful, and intelligent; she is a light in so many people’s darkness,” adds freshman Oliver Baldwin. E
vidently, Sky’s influence extends well beyond the student body of LFHS: Baldwin adds that even his family members admire her character and personality. According to Baldwin’s dad, “everyone deserves a little bit of Sky’s greatness.”
Another friend, freshman Ahna Frede, also has no shortage of positive accolades to share. “I love Sky! She has such a kind heart and is always willing to help others. She is willing to put anyone before herself and she gives killer advice.”
Sky’s kindness and concern for others transcends traditional friend groups, and even so, her character is never spread thin nor diluted. “She is the sweetest, most bubbly person in the world,” says sophomore Abbey Kellie. “ I love her with all my heart!”
Senior Kelsey Marx agrees. “Sky is a breath of fresh air at Lake Forest High School. She’s authentic, humble, and admirably altruistic. Her friends love her — it’s hard not to once you get to know her.”
All things considered, it’s clear that everyone at LFHS can benefit from getting to know Sky. Mr. Maigler puts it best: “The more you know about Sky, the more you admire her.” We should all get to know and admire one of LFHS’s most precious hidden gems.
