Senior Lilia Simeck is just about the most wholesome, driven, and bright Scout you can find.

Whether she’s dancing at halftime under the Friday night lights or working her after school job, she truly embodies what it means to be a genuine hard worker.

Although she’s the daughter of the superintendent, she has created her own mark at the school. Becoming a member of the Varsity Dance Team as only a sophomore shows exactly how her work ethic has paid off.

“Lilia is an amazing teammate, dancer, and overall person,” senior Ava Manelis said. “She is one of the hardest working people in practice and will literally not stop until she feels 110% confident in whatever she’s doing.”

Lilia’s lack of an ego helps her befriend many types of people. She is constantly starting conversation in the halls.

“She’s just so genuinely nice,” friend Sophie Prozument said. “You can always count on her to be inclusive and inviting in anything she does.”

Being the well-rounded person she is, her teachers recognize her as the ideal student: attentive, respectful, and an avid listener.

“Lilia is very inventive with her ideas and is creative beyond measure,” Art teacher Mrs. Doucette said. “Her incredible amount of respect and consideration of others truly embodies what it means to be a Scout.”
