Tommy Hetler

While freshman Tommy Hetler’s passion for golf and lacrosse, hilarious quips and affinity for donning college sweatshirts are undoubtedly what he’s most known for, anyone who’s met Hetler can attest to his cheerful and welcoming attitude toward others. Whether it’s in the halls, on the golf course or anywhere in between, he’s always a reliable friend and someone who can have everyone around him laughing in seconds.

As a freshman this year, Hetler worked incredibly hard during his summer before high school to earn a spot on the JV Golf team.

“Tommy shows up to practice with a smile on his face, but still works hard,” said senior Varsity Golf team Captain Danny Fisher. “Definitely someone to watch in the next few years.”

To simply earn a spot on the storied golf program is impressive in itself, but Hetler’s athletic pursuits don’t end there; he also participates in the Scouts Lacrosse team.

“[Tommy’s a] great player [with] great potential, said freshman Wesley Stephenson, a freshman teammate of Tommy’s. “Makes everyone want to be there.”

Beyond multiple extracurriculars and exceptional hard work, Hetler is also known for his sense of humor. No matter the circumstances, he’s always able to get classmates chuckling.

“Tommy’s just a super fun guy,” said Hetler’s Latin TA John Torosian. “He’s really hilarious.”
