Amelia Myers

Freshmen Amelia Myers has made herself known not only to her peers for her bubbly personality and contagious laugh, but to the rest of the music and theatre students for the sheer talent and potential she has to offer in her next three years at LFHS.

To set off her high school career, Myers has already participated in multiple theatre productions, including the Senior One-Acts, Our Town, and the spring musical, All Shook Up. In addition to theatre, Myers sang in the all-girls holiday ensemble, Bel Cantos, and is currently in the freshmen choir, Select Singers.

Myers also participates in outside productions at The Performer’s School in Highwood.

Sophomore Kailey Albus, who has performed with Myers in and outside of school, has gotten to know Myers both as a performer and as a friend.

“Amelia is one of the most dedicated, ambitious people I know, but she has such an easy going way about her that really sets her apart from others her age. Her talent is undeniable and her positive attitude during rehearsals is absolutely contagious,” Albus said. “She never fails to impress me with her maturity, self-awareness, and kindness. I can’t wait to see what she continues to do during her time her at LFHS. She has so much potential and determination that I am certain will take her places.”

Myers’ attitude has not gone unnoticed, as sophomore Mary Clayton emphasized Myers ability to make everyone around her feel better simply due to her positive nature.

“After being in Bel Cantos and two shows with Amelia, I can definitely say she is the most uplifting friend I have,” Clayton said. “She puts everyone around her in a better mood with her contagious positivity and is always there for me when I’ve had an exhausting day.”

Freshmen Ruby Stockton says she’s lucky to have Amelia as a friend in her life.

“Amelia is an amazing human. She can always put a smile on my face, make me laugh, and has the warmest heart. She is so talented and is always singing,” Stockton said. “She is a light in my life and I am so lucky to have her as a friend. I am so proud of her and can not wait to see what she accomplishes in life.”

Look at for Myers the next few years, as her positive attitude, dedication, and inspiring talent is sure to take her far.
