Paige Dillow

JV Tennis and Varsity Badminton holds a true leader on their teams. If you ask anyone who participated on either team what their best experiences were, they will give you a story and that story will definitely include senior Paige Dillow.

JV Tennis Coach, Jenna Stern, has had Paige on the team since her freshman year and had a lot to say. She said, “Her zest for life and free spirit make people gravitate toward her. She has a hilarious sense of humor and brings joy to those around her. Paige is truly one of a kind.” This JV Tennis Team would not have been the same without Paige’s presence. Even though the Girls’ Tennis season is over, she has not dropped racket sports and has continued into the Girls’ Varsity Badminton season.

Tennis and Badminton go hand-in-hand and Paige’s love for the sports keep strengthening due to her teammates. The Varsity Badminton Team holds other JV Tennis and Varsity Tennis members. Senior Lauren Haldane, former JV Tennis player and current Varsity Badminton player, said that as a friend, “ Paige is very outgoing and always knows how to make everyone laugh.”  As a teammate Haldane said,” As a captain she does really well with making things fun and she lets the team be part of decision-making, not just the captains. Another former JV Tennis player and current Varsity Badminton player, sophomore Lillian Rohrbach, described Paige as “the sweetest and funniest person I know. She has such a big heart and cares about everyone.” As for Paige being the captain of the team Rohrbach said, “Paige is such an important role on the team. Everyone looks up to her because of her leadership, her inclusiveness, and amazing attitude.”

You can see that Paige really does make a huge impact on both teams, not only has a captain and skill wise, but also has a person. A positive and outgoing personality is a major element in being a leader and Paige not only is a leader but she is also a friend. Best friend Annie Surmeier said, “Paige is the funniest and most genuine person I know. She is kind to everyone and is always there for her friends when they need her. She always knows how to make you laugh!” If you are ever looking for someone to talk to or someone to make you laugh, Paige is always there to listen and always has funny stories to tell.
