Nick Flynn

Nick Flynn

Let’s get the cliche out of the way right now: Senior offensive lineman Nick Flynn is larger than life.

Although he is one of the biggest bodies on the team, his physical presence pales in compared to his presence in both the classroom and during practice.

“Nick is a guy who people always gravitate towards in both games and practice because he is hilarious, and he always wants to push his teammates harder,” said fellow offensive lineman and senior Jade Khater.

The harsh three-and-a-half-hour football practices and the grueling games can be really tough on some of the players mental but you could never tell if it was weighing on Nick or not.

“There is no one I would rather be next to on the line,” said senior Renzo Meucci “He is always either cracking a joke or giving words of encouragement it is literally impossible to be in a bad mood when he is around.”

This might come off as a surprise, but he actually started off freshman year playing soccer as a goalie. He really found his calling sophomore year when he started playing football.

What really separates Nick from the pack is his undying Scout pride.

“There are not many kids at Lake Forest with more school spirit than him. If you were to cut that kid open, blue and gold would come out,” Khater said.
