Senior Dakota Fitzgerald is confident enough to speak his mind, even when it’s full of randomly funny ideas.

For example, senior Jacob Bailey claims that Dakota once had a plan to “paint his whole body blue and lurk in the bottom of a swimming pool and then grab people to their demise.”

Bailey said he appreciates the humor, but there’s more to Dakota. “He is avid in athletics, and he is a very social academic learner,” he said. “I like to hang out with him because he is easy to talk to, he helps me with my economics homework, and he is a great workout partner.”

Dakota travels to the Tech Campus for firefighter training. He is also a member of the wrestling and football teams and an employee at Fresh Market.

“One of my favorite memories of him was in wrestling when we were drill partners and I couldn’t keep going since I was laughing so hard I started crying. You could be having the worst day of your life, but being around Dakota, you just can’t help but smile,” senior Jack Doheny says.

On top of being hard working and being very social Dakota is a great friend. “He’s a nice person and he is really fun to be around,” says senior Dominic Ulrich.
