John Shea

John Shea

Senior John Shea, aka Shea, aka Shea Butter, loves spending his time on the  football field or fishing on a local pond.

“Shea is my guy,” said senior Gage Messner. “He’s always down to do something fun or go explore things in nature like local bridges.”

In his four years at the high school, Shea has been heavily involved in both lacrosse and football.  Limited by injury during his junior year, he decided to focus on just football to finish off senior year on a high note, and it truly showed on the field.

“The kid is an absolute animal; whenever he is on the field he is gonna do his assignment. In doing so, it makes it so much easier for everyone else,” said senior Jackson Pearre. “Each position on the field has a job, and he always does his to the best of his ability. He’s a team player and never plays for himself.”

Not only was he an integral part of the football team, the coaches also named Shea one of the two senior captains in this year’s varsity season.  With an historic 6-0 season, it is safe to say that it is a season for Shea to remember.

Shea will be attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  All of the continuous effort in the classroom had finally manifested itself.  He made it to his dream school.
