Kaden Wilhelm

Kaden Wilhelm

When junior Kaden Wilhelm was five years old, he took a brutal fall. He was told by doctors that he would never play contact sports.

Kaden was born with an arachnoid cyst, but it wasn’t discovered until he was five years old. This cyst forced him to undergo brain surgery, which in turn made future concussions potentially fatal.

Despite the early challenges, he has grinded on the tennis court and golf course making him a top performer on both varsity teams.

“Kaden has one of the best work ethics out of anyone at the high school and a strong desire to always keep improving no matter what life throws at him,” said close friend Stewie Swift.

Kaden spends most of his time at The Onwentsia Club golf range, hitting balls and hanging out with friends. When he’s not on the range, you can find him indoors on the tennis court honing in his high-speed serve.

“Kaden regularly shoots a below-par golf round while also looking and acting like he’s just messing around,” said tennis and golf teammate Edward Torosian. “Truly a sight for sore eyes.”

Outside of Kaden’s athletic life, school comes easy to him. He is in multiple AP classes and seems to ace them all with ease.

“Kaden acts like a goofball, but is ironically more knowledgeable in U.S. and world history than anyone I’ve ever met.” said junior Jack Marshall.
