Senior Kiley Rabjohns, a two time state champion, is applauded for her skills on the court, but she is more than a talented tennis player.

“Kiley brings incredible grace, talent, sportsmanship, leadership, and humility to the team. She is our humble warrior, giving everything she has, every single match, for the team. When she finishes matches, she immediately asks how other players are doing and goes to cheer them on,” said Varsity Tennis coach Denise Murphy. “She is two-time state champ but you would never know it by her quiet demeanor.”

Murphy applauded the captain for her growth as a team leader.

“As a senior and one of the co-captains, Kiley has learned to use her voice to encourage, support, and advocate for her teammates. As accomplished as she is, Kiley is still eager to improve and learn more,” she said.

Rabjohns has a naturally chill persona and devotion to spending time with friends. Continuing to excel on and off the court, she has been successful in academics, taking rigorous courses, while managing her time to play tennis two or more times a day.

Last fall, Rabjohns announced her commitment to play D1 tennis at Northwestern University. Despite the success, co-captain Olivia Wheldon calls her teammate “humble” and “down to earth.”

“Kiley is such an amazing co-captain to have! I am really excited to have a memorable season and for us to make it as special as possible! Kiley is not only an incredible tennis player and captain but she is also an amazing friend,” she said.

Due to COVID, the tennis team has a limited schedule. When the captains were told they were only allowed to purchase a portion of the usual uniform, they both decided what could be better than getting team scrunchies to make up for it. Rabjohns claimed it was truly the most exciting part of the whole uniform.

Also joining Rabjohns on the court is her sister, Autumn. This is their second year playing together as Scouts. “I love being able to play doubles with her and doing off-court activities,” Autumn said.

This season as she takes her victory lap, you can expect to see her signature high sock tan from a mile away. Northwestern will be lucky to have Rabjohns next fall, as she takes her Scout pride to the Wildcat courts.
