Sophia Divagno

Finding a friend who is humorous is easy. Finding a friend who is humorous and kind can be a little more difficult. Finding a friend who is humorous, kind, adventurous, and supportive may almost seem impossible… until you meet senior Sophia Divagno. 

Sophia never fails to include everyone around her, and most importantly, she always makes sure to support each person she meets in her life. 

 Junior Hayden Keller says Sophia makes every moment in life the best it can be. She also explains how her outgoing personality makes others want to spend more time around her.

“She’s the most adventurous person I know and she brings so much fun and energy wherever she goes. She’s friends with and knows just about everyone at LFHS and can get along with anybody, which just goes to show how charismatic she is. Also, she’s a beast in the net,” Keller said.

While Sophia is a friend to countless classmates, she is also a leader on the soccer field. She has been the goalie for the Varsity Girls Soccer team since her freshman year and never fails to lead by example. Her teammates look up to her as their role model, but most importantly her coaches recognize her as a team leader.

Assistant Coach Mrs. Cook says Sophia holds the team together.

“Soph is a rockstar. Although I am sad I never had her in my classroom, I am lucky to have coached her the last four years in soccer. She is a leader. Since the very beginning as a freshman on Varsity, she has always led by example and has been the glue that keeps the team together,” she said. “She may be small, but she is mighty! She is tough as nails, but treats everyone with kindness, compassion, and care. Her strong sense of self and great humor are what draw her classmates, teammates, teachers, and coaches to her. She will be irreplaceable on the soccer field (in the net specifically) and in our LFHS community next year as she heads off to college!”

As Sophia leaves for University of Dayton, she has left an imprint on numerous lives. Thank you, Soph, for all you have done for the LFHS Community, soccer team, and for being a bright light in so many people’s lives.
