Sophomore Clint “Mac” Chamberlain frolics through life with loads of exuberance. A cross country runner, he has a unique mix of maturity beyond his years and a charismatic youthfulness.
“Mac can hang out with anyone, whether its seniors or freshmen. He’s super easy to talk to and he never fails to make a situation fun,” said his freshman cross country teammate Will Atzeff.
Chamberlain, known for his creativity, enjoys spending his free time catching leaves as they fall off of trees, playing NBA 2K, and eating at his favorite restaurant, Donelli’s.
“The kid honestly finds ways to have fun that no one else would ever think of,” Atzeff continued. “He’s so fun to be around, and I’d say his leaf catching speaks to the type of fun-loving guy he is. He lives life care-free, and appreciates the mundane parts of life we take for granted.”
In addition to his fun and wholesome hobbies, Chamberlain displays a fervent passion for politics.
“Mac always wants to be informed. It doesn’t matter if it’s about politics and global issues or the best deals on the menu at Donelli’s Pub & Eatery. He’s a dedicated intellectual who wants to learn as much as he can, but at the same time, he’s also just one of the guys who loves to kick back and relax,” said political aficionado Trip Pierce.
Despite living just north of Chicago, Chamberlain is a devoted Bucks, Packers, and Brewers fan, and he is not afraid to flaunt it. Chamberlain can reliably be found wearing his Christian Yelich shirsey at least once a week.
“Oh, he’s got some serious chutzpah. He does his own thing and doesn’t give two hoots about what others think of him. He’s such a diehard Wisconsin sports fan it’s almost obnoxious, but I respect the heck out of him for it because that’s one of his passions, and he’s not going to hide it,” added Pierce.
