Quiet yet mighty, Ryan Antrim, “is the epitome of a student-athlete,” according to Varsity baseball coach Ray DelFava.

Antrim can take on just about any challenge in front of him. He is enrolled in three AP classes, a member of the Varsity baseball team, a TA for Wellness for Life, and a singer for the Foresters.

Antrim, a pitcher and infielder, is an excellent teammate, according to senior Anthony Ranallo.

“Ryan is a very nice guy, great teammate and friend. He’s so down to Earth,” he said. “Ryan and his dad kindly waited over an hour for me  at a showcase to drive me home.”

Ryan was “an awesome teammate in his first year on the Varsity baseball team,” said DelFava. “He constantly strives to get better, and he is always pushing his teammates to get better on the field and in the classroom.”

Off the field, one can find Ryan working as a teacher’s assistant for Mr. Busse’s third period Wellness for Life class. Mr. Busse couldn’t stop mentioning all the help Ryan has given to the freshman.

He said when Ryan has a task in front of him, he “takes it as a personal challenge and does it to the best of his ability.”

“Ryan is one of the best; he is dedicated to his work, his sports, and his friends. Ryan is one of the nicest people around, and has a humbling nature about him that creates a welcoming feeling for the freshman he has been leading for two years,” he said. “Ryan may not lead by yelling and barking out orders, but he will lead by example. He takes his work seriously and does the best job he can.
