Chloe+Mutter

Chloe Mutter

Sophomore Chloe Mutter walks into a room with the same energy as the rising sun: bright, cheery, and optimistic.

Despite setbacks, Chloe is a dedicated athlete, playing field hockey in the fall and running track and field in the spring. Last spring, Chloe had surgery on her foot, putting her out of the track season after a promising start. She made the difficult decision to get her surgery done during track so that she would be fully healed and ready to play come the field hockey season.

But she didn’t allow her surgery to deter her relentless motivation to succeed; she accelerated her physical therapy and has been running four to five miles all summer. Chloe is absolutely ready to take on this field hockey season.

“Chloe is not the type of person to have excuses,” said senior brother Alex Mutter.

Chloe also excels academically, maintaining high grades and studying hard. She tries the hardest in her most difficult classes, demonstrating her perseverance and grit. According to Alex, Chloe never complains when the going gets tough; she pushes even harder.

“Chloe’s resilience shows to be very self evident in her accomplishments, day to day achievements, and her determination to annoy the heck out of me,”  Mutter said with a chuckle. “But, seriously, I’ve never seen someone more determined to succeed and learn from their mistakes so well.”
