Morrison to host student forum on gun violence

Morrison+to+host+student+forum+on+gun+violence+2

Last month, many LFHS students participated in a walkout to honor the victims of the Parkland shooting and express a desire for policy reform. While that was a great first step for students to take, more work has to be done to create actual change in our country, state, and community.

State Senator Julie Morrison is hosting a student forum on gun violence this Sunday, April 15, at Deerfield Village Hall. The informal event will go from 1:30-3:00 p.m. and is opened to all students in the area. This is your chance to speak directly to your elected representative about your experiences and priorities regarding gun control. You will also have the chance to meet other students from schools around the area and hear about their perspectives.
