This week’s Things We Love is featuring our personal favorite skin care products. It’s my personal belief that the one thing you should splurge on and invest in is your skin. The better you take care of it, the better it takes care of you. Not only for your appearance, but more importantly because your skin performs so many essential tasks for your body. So for all of you girls or guys who might need a little extra help in the skin care department. I’m here to help show you some products I recommend.
Mario badescu drying lotion – This is my all time favorite fast-acting, effective acne spot treatment. I discovered this when looking through a wedding magazine, which actually makes total sense because if you have ugly whiteheads this will make them disappear overnight like magic. Most other acne spot treatments tend to dry out the skin, but this one doesn’t. It’s perfect for teenagers like me who deal with breakouts from time to time.
Mario Badescu rose water spray – This hydrating mist refreshes your skin for a pleasant, pick me up anytime for a dehydrated, tight and uncomfortable skin. Every night this is the last thing that goes on my face before bed and in the morning I’ll use this to set my make-up or spray on dry hair throughout the day. I’m totally obsessed with it and so are a ton of other people. You can find it at almost any makeup supply store.
AMOUR D’ORE- This is the golden love multivitamin oil or face and body as well as hair. I recently have been using this as my body lotion. Obviously, it’s not a lotion, it’s an oil, but I ran out of my normal body lotion and decided to just use this one day and I’m in love. I just spray this all over my body and it soaks in and is not oily on my clothes. It won’t leave any oil stains on my pants since it’s on my legs and it has such a subtle scent. I absolutely love this stuff. Super hydrating and you won’t be itchy or peeling anymore from the cold outside.
SUPERMUD® Clearing Treatment- I have almost all of the Glam & Glow products because they’re so amazing. This is Glam & Glow super mud clearing treatment. I don’t put this on my entire face because it will dry you out like crazy, but maybe people with oily skin could. Anyways, you paint this on areas where you see large pores or blackheads/whiteheads and it takes the toxins out of your pores and reduces the size of them. Not to mention, the masks smell so good! I’d definitely recommend.
Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Face Polish- Exfoliating is important for your skin. When you don’t, old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of your skin, which can leave your skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Not to mention, the build-up of dead skin cells can also result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne, which I’m sure none of us want. This is one by Laura Mercier. I use this to exfoliate my skin once a week it leaves my skin so soft and smooth.
Rose Hydrating Eye Cream Gel- I think eye creams are important at any age. It’s a perfect solution for dryness and puffiness which tends to happen when your pulling all-nighters studying or doing homework. It provides continuous moisture while illuminating and soothing tired-looking eyes. I used this every day for SAT class Saturday mornings and no one could tell how exhausted I really was, which was amazing.
7. Gentle Skin Cleanser – I like to switch my face wash every couple weeks because your skin can get used to something and the effects of a product won’t be as great. At the moment, I’m on one from Cetaphil that is great for sensitive skin. It also does a great job taking off your makeup. Would recommend!
CLINIQUE Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips- I use this to remove my makeup before I wash my face at night. It works extremely well and takes almost no time. Taking off all your makeup is so important!! Here are just some cons of deciding to sleep with your makeup on 1. You’ll break out. 2. If you have acne, you might make it worse and 3. Your skin will look older — and you’ll have more wrinkles. No thank you.
Andalou Naturals Probiotic + C Renewal Cream – Moisturizing, like everything else I’ve mentioned, is as important as anything. Hydration is key for healthy skin. In addition, it makes your skin softer and visibly more plump and perky. Fun fact: Paris Hilton claims she’s never gotten any work done–it’s just from good moisturizing. So start lathering it on, ladies!
