This week’s Sneak of the Week goes to junior Jen Leeson’s Vans Off the Wall sneaker. Jen is wearing the SK8-Hi sneaker in black. These sneakers are known to be simpl, yet timeless. The background of Vans is that they were founded by brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren, along with Gordon Lee and Serge Delia. They opened for business at 704 E. Broadway in Anaheim, California. Vans were known as the “skateboarder shoe” because of its rugged make-up and sticky sole.

They go with anything–from the curb, to the runway–and even denim to couture. Jen wore her Vans with her Blackhawks jersey, showing her school spirit, and with a pair of shorts. Vans are coming out with new designs and styles that aren’t just the basic canvas sneaker.
