The Lake Forest Scouts Varsity Volleyball team has high expectations for success this season despite their slow (0-2) start out of the gate. The Scouts have five seniors returning from one of the most impressive seasons in school history a season ago having won a Class 4A Regional Championship under the direction of Coach Molly Grzesik.

Gone, however, are last year’s seniors, including Emma Patlovich, Brigid Brennan, Claire Torkelson, and Meghan McGrail. Into the spotlight come the class of 2018 seniors Katie Constantine, Jill Fontana, Cassidy Shaul, Allie Wickman, and Maria Gabrielson. Despite losing their first two matches of the season to Wheeling and Niles West, the Scouts are looking to earn a win to put in the left hand column for the first time in this young season.

Look for juniors Claire Mahoney and Sydney Martens to see significant time in tonight’s contest along with sophomores Alyssa Thrash and Reily Heindel, both of whom are tremendously gifted outside hitters for this young Scouts squad.

Tonight’s match is at 6:00 PM in the East Campus Competition Gym. Come out and cheer the Scouts on to their first win of the season.
