The North Suburban Conference has a different look beginning with the Fall season of the 2016-17 school year. Departed from the former North Suburban Conference is the Prairie Division, including Vernon Hills High School, Lakes High School, Antioch Community High School, Wauconda High School, Round Lake High School, Grant High School, and North Chicago High School.
Remaining as the Scouts’ main competitors are the Stevenson Patriots, Lake Zurich Bears, Libertyville Wildcats, Zion-Benton Zee-Bees, and Mundelein Mustangs, while Waukegan High School adds new blood to the old league. This newly-formed 7 team league will allow the Scouts to play each conference school twice in most sports to complete a season series and will eliminate all NSC crossover competition. Unfortunately, however, this new alignment removes the NSC Conference Championship game in sports like Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, and Boys and Girls Volleyball.
