The Lake Forest Scouts needed every one of junior Jack Mislinski’s four goals to seal the victory over Glenbrook North on Thursday night at West Campus. After securing a 3-1 lead after one quarter, the Scouts continued to mount the attack on their rivals from Northbrook, securing an 8-7 lead heading into the final frame of the game. After the game was tied at 8 in the fourth, however, Jack Mislinski’s fourth goal of the contest gave the Scouts the lead for good with four minutes to play.
Junior Mead Payne rounded out the scoring effort for the Scouts, cementing the game’s final score at 10-8 with 3 minutes left to play in the contest. Davis Khalili was excellent in between the pipes from the Scouts, as they now move into the 3rd round of the IHSLA state playoffs. Lake Forest, who had their first two match-ups of the state playoffs on their home turf at West Campus, will now travel in round 3.
