In Between the Lines Staff Writers Make World Series Predictions

In Between the Lines Writers Make World Series Predictions

The staff writers for the In Between the Lines department have all made World Series predictions for the Cubs vs. Indians World Series of 2016. Of course, with most of our writers being Cubs’ fans, the predictions generally favor the seemingly destiny-driven Chicago Cubs. That said, however, before the Cavaliers won the 2016 NBA Finals, Cleveland hadn’t won a major championship in professional sports since the Cleveland Browns won a pre-Super Bowl NFL title in 1964. Clearly, this World Series has some of the most intriguing plot lines in recent memory. Some might say that the Chicago Cubs’ futility is the last pure sports story of its kind left. Others would argue that Cleveland winning two titles in 2016 would outweigh 52 years of championship starvation. Should make for some fantastic drama.

It’s either the year of the Cub, or the year of Cleveland. Are you on team Believe-Land or are you believing in Cubbie Blue? Feel free to leave a comment below with your prediction.

Joe Thomas: Cubs in 5

Parker Bolton: Cubs in 6

Avery Robbins: Cubs in 7

Brian Stickler: Indians in 7

Cameron Litzsinger: Cubs in 6

Jackson Douglass: Cubs in 5

Justin McMahon: Cubs in 5

Chris Cavalaris: Cubs in 5

Charlie Sidles: Indians in 7
