As is the case each year, the Business Entrepreneurship classes are relentlessly peddling their products. Thus, to become more informed, the Forest Scout talked to freshman girls Taylor Brinker and Ellen Roloson who were eager to tell the school about their product. These two freshman have put in endless amounts of hours on their product for Business Entrepreneurship class. Brinker and Roloson titled their product, LF Slides for LF pride–pretty creative if you ask me. These thirty dollar slide sandals feature the Lake Forest logo printed on them and come in two colors. You can get these cool slides in black and white and, by the looks of it, they seem to be quite comfortable and are selling quite well. They are a perfect gift for the holiday season as well as basketball season. Slides from Nike, Adidas, and Jordan range from $20-$40, but these slides are thirty dollars and only $30 they are for a good cause. All profit is going to be donated to charity. They are donating to Toys for Tots and Fill a Heart 4 Kids, two charities that help kids in need. I had the chance to sit down with them and asked them a couple of questions regarding their project.
What sets these sandals apart from their competitors?
“We are very involved in our class we want to sell the products. We are overlooking the grade and we have the most money going to charity. It is not about the grade to us, we want to give back”

Why should people buy your product?
“They are 30$ and all of the profit margin is going to Toy for Tots and Fill a Heart 4 Kids. We are aware that they are a little bit on the pricier side, but all that profit is going to charity. We think they are important around this time because it is during the basketball season and holiday season, the season of giving.”
Brinker and Roloson not only came up with a creative project for their business class, they found a way to give back to the community. Be on the lookout for these slides to show off your scout pride!
These sandals are available for purchase upon request, or you can order them via email by contacting Taylor Brinker or Ellen Roloson.
